ABRAKA/Nigeria: On Sat. 23rd April, 2022, former Vice Chairman of Ethiope East Local Govt, Mr. Christopher Izu buried his late mother, Deconness Bibiana Anini Izu, Nee Akposiava, in a grand style at Abraka, Ethiope East LGA of Delta State. Mr. Izu is currently the Assistant to the Delta Central Coordinator of Olorogun David Edevbie Campaign Organization, Okakuro Prince Godwin Ejinyere, former Chairman, Okpe Local Govt.

As usual, the tested and proven PDP governorship aspirant for Delta State 2023 general elections, Olorogun David Edevbie was there to honour Mr. Izu. Olorogun Edevbie was represented at the ceremony by a team of principal officers of his campaign Organization, led by the Director General, Chief Clement Ofuani, Delta State pioneer Commissioner for Economic Planning.

Olorogun Edevbie was set to personally attend the burial ceremony but other equally important socio-cultural events took him to another part of the State. It was, however, very easy to delegate a team to represent him at the Abraka event due to the perfect structure of his campaign organization.

Also in the David Edevbie delegation were the Delta Central Coordinator, Okakuro GodwIn Ejinyere; the Director of Media, Dr. GodwIn Orhadahwe, former Vice Chairman of Okpe Local Govt, Hon. Best Mabitaghan; the Ethiope East LGA Coordinator, Mr. Onoriode Ishegbe; the Ughelli North LGA Coordinator, Mr. Christopher Ophori; that of Sapele LGA, Deacon Jebrume Ufuoma; Ughelli South LGA Coordinator, Chief Ugherakpoteni Johnson; that of Okpe LGA, Okakuro Henry Ojalikele; and a host of Ward Coordinators of the Edevbie Campaign Organization from the 25 LGAs of Delta State.

Delivering a goodwill message of Olorogun David Edevbie to Mr. Izu, the DG, Chief Clement Ofuani said Olorogun Edevbie believes that every Deltan is important and should be respected and given a good sense of belonging, irrespective of ethnicity, creed, social status and political affiliation. He thanked God for the life and times of Deaconess Bibiana Anini Izu, and prayed God to grant her soul eternal rest in the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Welcoming the Edevbie team, Mr. Izu expressed his appreciation to the PDP front line Guber aspirant, Olorogun Edevbie, the DG, Chief Clement Ofuani, and other members of the delegation for the honour done him and the Izu family. He described Olorogun Edevbie as the people’s Governor in the making. This corrects the false allegation by some mischief makers in the State that Olorogun David Edevbie does not socialize.

Deaconess Bibiana Anini Izu transited to the great beyond at the age of 90 years. She hailed from the Akposiava/Ehorie families of Usieffurun Town in Ughelli South LGA of Delta State, and was married to the Matinde Izu family of Abraka, in Ethiope East LGA of Delta State. She is survived by many children, grandchildren, and relatives.
