KWALE/Nigeria: Onicha-Ukwuani Movement for Good Governance in Ndokwa-West Local government area have passed a glowing vote of confidence on the Delta State Governor, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for what they described as the even and unbiased distribution of political appointments across the state.
The group unanimously passed the vote of confidence on Governor Okowa during a felicitation visit to Hon. (Chief) Aneke Ifemeni on his appointment as the Senior Special Adviser (SSA) to the Delta State Governor on Agriculture.
The group pledged their support for Governor Okowa; they however called on him to remain focused on strategically delivering his SMART AGENDAS to all Deltans and forget about the schemes and lies of his detractors.
Onicha-Ukwuani Movement for Good Governance is a body of conscientious and pragmatic young minds that believe that government at all levels can get it right and even surpass the expectations of the electorates by reaching and meeting the general needs of the common man.
As part of the activities wrapping up the year 2017, the group paid a congratulatory visit to the SSA and prayed God to grant him the wisdom to discharge his duties effectively and efficiently even as they assured him of their invaluable advise where necessary.
Meanwhile, one of the leaders of the group, Comr. Precious Enebeli Ekene in his address expressed the gratitude of the group to the Delta State Governor, Sen. (Dr.) Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for finding one of their sons worthy of the appointment.
According to him, “we want to thank the SMART Governor of Delta State, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for finding Hon Ifemeni worthy of the appointment as SSA to him on Agriculture; and we believe and consider him the best man for the job knowing fully well that he has been a big time farmer for decades. We believe that his practical experience will add in no mere measures to the ministry,” he stated.
Also, Comr. Oge Ugbolome who moved the motion for the vote of confidence on the governor also called on the good people of Ndokwa-West Local Government to come out enmasse and vote massively for Hon (Barr) Chris Ifeanyi Osakwe in the January 6th, 2018 Local Government election adding that if the people’s Capacity Chairman is voted in, good governance is assured in the area.
In his response, Hon Ifemeni thanked the Onicha-Ukwuani Movement for Good Governance for their stance on governance while adding that he will be a good Ambassador of his people and do his best to contribute his quota to the all round success of the Okowa administration even as he called on the group to work towards the re-election of Governor Okowa in 2019.
