LAGOS/Nigeria: The Moyosore Onigbongbo Youths Organisation (MOYOO) has declared its full support for Moyosore Adebanjo, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chairmanship aspirant for Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA). The endorsement was announced in Lagos on Friday during the official inauguration of the youth group.
Convener of MOYOO, Ademosun Jamiu, said the youths are ready to commit their time and resources to ensure Adebanjo’s victory, citing his energy, intellectual capacity, solid academic background, and international exposure as reasons for their support. He added that the group has mobilised volunteers as ward coordinators, zonal coordinators, and street captains to drive grassroots engagement.
In his response, Adebanjo thanked the youths for their support and pledged to build a world-class youth centre in Onigbongbo LCDA, a facility he said is long overdue when compared to neighbouring areas like Ikeja. He also promised to create platforms where young people can share ideas and contribute to the development of the community.
Adebanjo stressed the need to involve youths in decision-making and to roll out programmes that will address their needs and aspirations. “We must give young people a voice and the tools to drive the future of Onigbongbo,” he said.
The event attracted notable APC leaders from Onigbongbo LCDA, who commended the youths for their commitment and called for unity ahead of the polls.
