ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta Online Publishers’ Forum DOPF has hailed Governor Okowa’s recent appointments in to the State executive council and other offices saying its a case of Square pegs in Square holes.
The Forum particularly hailed the state governor’s move to appoint Ogbuehi Patrick Ukah and Mr. Jackson Ekwugum.
The forum made their commendation through a Press release signed by its Chairman Mr. Emmanuel Enebeli and the Secretary, Mr. Shedrack Onitsha.
The DOPF said returning Ogbuehi Patrick Ukah as a member of the Delta State Executive Council and subsequent deployment to the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education as commissioner and re-appointing Mr. Jackson Ekwugum the Communication Manager, Government House, is a move that will fast tract the achievement of the Okowa administration to build a stronger Delta in his last tenure as governor of the state.
Congratulating the duo on their appointments, the body noted that as the Commissioner for Information, Ugbuehi Patrick Ukah mobilized and galvanized the different media genres in the state, and beyond, in a dimension that engaged their respective sense of belonging for effective information dissemination for the full delivery of the administration’s SMART Agenda while, Mr. Jackson Ekwugum brought in his professional skill as a tested journalist and an expert in strategic communication and brought the government and the people together through effective communication of the policies, programmes and intentions of government to the people.
The Delta State online publishers wished the Okowa administration as well as Ogbuehi Patrick Ukah and Mr. Jackson Ekwugum more fruitful years in Governance and prayed for God’s strength, wisdom, protection and good health as they carry on the onerous work of achieving a stronger Delta.
