
ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ede Dafinone has congratulated the Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme, on the occasion of his 61st birthday, describing him as a committed public servant whose integrity, humility, and dedication continue to inspire confidence across the state.
In a goodwill message issued on Monday, the lawmaker said Onyeme’s life reflects a sustained commitment to service and the advancement of Delta State, noting that his contributions to governance have earned him admiration both within and beyond the state.
Dafinone commended the Deputy Governor’s collaborative working relationship with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, stating that their partnership has played a critical role in driving the successes recorded under the administration’s MORE Agenda.
“Your exemplary teamwork with His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has been instrumental in driving the successes recorded under the MORE Agenda. Through your collaborative leadership style, you have helped strengthen governance, deepen service delivery, and ensure that the dividends of democracy reach the grassroots,” he said.
The senator described Onyeme as a calm and dependable leader whose administrative competence and loyalty to the administration’s vision have contributed significantly to the stability and progress of the state.
“As Deputy Governor, your calm disposition, administrative competence, and loyalty to the collective vision of this administration have contributed significantly to the stability and progress of Delta State. Your ability to complement leadership with wisdom and tact stands as a model for effective public service,” Dafinone added.
He further noted that Onyeme’s approach to leadership reflects discipline, experience, and a deep understanding of governance, qualities he said are essential for sustaining development.
On behalf of his family and the people of Delta Central Senatorial District, Dafinone celebrated the Deputy Governor and prayed for continued good health, wisdom, and strength for him to render even greater service to the state and the nation.
