Onyeme Donates Books To Schools In Ndokwa

KWALE/Nigeria: A Philanthropist and Chairman, Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Sir Monday Onyeme has called on critical stakeholders across Ndokwa Nation to join hands with him in contributing to the educational growth of the people of the area.

Sir Onyeme made the call at the Adofi Primary School, Ossissa in Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State at the presentation of text books and other learning materials to primary schools across Ndokwa West, Ukwuani and Ndokwa East local government areas.

While presenting over one thousand text books to the school, Onyeme, who is also the Chairman of the Monday Onyeme Foundation, admonished pupils, school administrators and teachers of benefitting schools to ensure that the books were put to good use, stressing that “we must do all in our power to ensure that our children are given the best education because among them in the nearest future would be doctors, lawyers, engineers and even governors.”

Receiving the books on behalf of her school, the Headmistress of Adofi primary school, Ossissa, Mrs. Veronica Ebolosue, thanked Sir Onyeme for his gesture, promising to ensure that the pupils imbibed reading culture.

Also in his remarks, the member representing Ndokwa West at the State House of Assembly Honourable Charles Emetulu described reading as a healthy culture that encouraged development of the mind and society at large, and expressed confidence that the books would be put to good use.

Twenty-two primary schools across the three Ndokwa local government areas of Ukwuani, Ndokwa West, and Ndokwa East have been pencilled down to benefit from the book distribution.
