ASABA/Nigeria: In the wake of the Supreme Court’s validation of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s election victory, Chief Isaac Onyesom, has extended warm congratulations, emphasizing that the legal victory marks the end of distractions for the realization of the M.O.R.E. Agenda.
Following the apex court’s dismissal of appeals by Senator Ovie Omo-Agege of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Ken Pela of the Labour Party (LP), challenging Governor Oborevwori’s electoral success, Chief Onyesom, the Executive Assistant to Governor Oborevwori on Security, conveyed his felicitations in a personally signed message released to the press in Asaba.
“The judiciary, has again, affirmed the will of the people,” Chief Onyesom stated. “This judgment was expected by the majority of Deltans who voted massively for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in the last general elections.”
With an optimistic tone, he added, “With this verdict, there will be no more distractions in our state; the Governor, his Deputy, and all well-meaning Deltans will team up to make the state great.”
The PDP Chieftain also extended his congratulations to Governor Oborevwori, his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, Deltans, and all democracy enthusiasts for the victory achieved both at the polls and in the judiciary.
Speaking about the M.O.R.E. Agenda, Chief Onyesom asserted, “The M.O.R.E. Agenda of Governor Oborevwori will advance Delta State. Obviously, to any discerning mind, our Governor has started well; the programs of his administration are on course. We are happy that we have a Governor who is loved by the people and is working for the people. Democracy is truly on course in Delta State.”
