The transformation of every society begins with a dream. A dream for a better life for the people. Dreams that would bring about transformation in any society can sometimes be difficult to dream. And that’s because only individuals with dreams can dream for societal transformation.
THE NEW NDOKWA DREAM has been birthed to bring about rapid economic growth and development in all ramifications of human endeavours in Ndokwa nation.
One step we must take for THE NEW NDOKWA DREAM to be realized is RELOCATION.
You don’t champion a course for a society or system or entity you have little or no knowledge about. Many Ndokwa sons and daughters clamoring for a better Ndokwa nation are resident outside Ndokwa land. And that has made most smart ideas or concepts designed to bring a paradigm shift in Ndokwa nation to be of little or no effect.
I have read of a few men that fought or emancipated or transformed their countries at a time in their lives. I discovered these men were all resident among their people which made it easier for all of them to gain the support of their people. They weren’t resident abroad and trying to fight for a better structure for the people or system(s) they represented.
Not everything that is good is right. We have lots of smart ideas running through the system but execution or implementation has been a major challenge. And that’s because most of these smart ideas is coming from Ndokwa sons and daughters resident abroad. It’s not easy to implement another person’s idea you know.
If we must realize THE NEW NDOKWA DREAM, most of us would have to relocate back to Ndokwa nation. That is where the journey to a better Ndokwa nation begins. And that is what history has taught and showed me.
Late Nelson Madiba Mandela of South Africa did not fight apartheid from abroad, he saw and felt it as a person. So, he could tell exactly what it was like and how it felt. He was even privileged to go study law abroad. But he came back to SA after studies having acquired the requisite knowledge to fight apartheid because of his people.
The men regarded to be the founding fathers of Nigeria today didn’t fight for Nigeria’s independence residing abroad. Even when they had the opportunity to go study abroad, they all came back home to fight our colonial masters with the knowledge they acquired studying abroad.
The same goes for the man regarded to be the founding father of Ghana, late Dr. Kwame Nkrumah of blessed memory , Former President of Ghana. He was also privileged to go study abroad. And after his studies he came back to fight for mother Ghana.
Many Ndokwa sons and daughters resident outside Ndokwa nation do not know how our people are faring back home. Most of them only visit during Xmas and other festive periods. We don’t see nor feel what our people see and feel.
We all don’t have to relocate back home. I know that is off course impossible. But for posterity sake and the future of Ndokwa nation many of us would need to take after the steps of those men.
For those of us hungry to bring transformation to Ndokwa nation you can’t afford to be resident outside Ndokwa land. Transformers of societies don’t stay outside the reach of their people, they dwell among the people.
All it will take is one man with undying love and passion for Ndokwa nation. A man that is ready to dwell among the people to share their pains. Like Americans would always say “Love for God and Country “.
To be the founding father(s) of the new Ndokwa like Lee Quan Yew of Singapore you must dwell in the midst of the people.
THE NEW NDOKWA DREAM is possible. But it will demand that we sacrifice. No dream ever comes through without sacrifice.
Relocating back to our root is the sacrifice it demands.
