Oshimili South Chairman Pledges Equitable Development Across Council Zones

ASABA/Nigeria: The chairman of Oshimili South local government area in Delta state, Obi Kelvin Ezenyili, has vowed to sustain an impartial trajectory of progress across all regions within the council.

Speaking through the Council’s Secretary, Brendan Iyeh, on Friday, November 24, 2023, at the Indigenous Correspondents’ Chapel (ICC) Mirror Platform’s monthly congress, Ezenyili assured constituents that the developmental initiatives of his administration would span the entirety of the council, transcending all aspects of communal life.

Asserting an unwavering commitment to supporting the Indigenous Correspondents’ Chapel (ICC) and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) at large, Ezenyili emphasized the council’s steadfast allegiance to an open-door policy. He highlighted the collaborative synergy with journalists in the state capital, ensuring accurate and current coverage of the administration’s accomplishments.

Expressing elation, Ezenyili underscored the accomplishments achieved during his tenure, citing the establishment of a competent economic team and advisory committee. He outlined various infrastructural enhancements, including the construction of a modern legislative complex, refurbishment of the executive complex, and the integration of advanced technology into the local government Secretariat.

The chairman detailed a range of initiatives, from the installation of CCTV systems to collaborations with security forces, private sector partnerships, youth engagement programs, and empowerment initiatives targeting various segments of the population. Furthermore, he highlighted efforts toward environmental sustainability, infrastructural refurbishments, and innovative solutions for economic development.

Chairman Orusi Kenneth, in his address, lauded the chairman for his development projects, particularly in Asaba, the state capital. He commended Ezenyili’s open-door policy, acknowledging the chairman’s willingness to engage with the chapel whenever approached.

Additionally, during the gathering, the chairman was apprised of the forthcoming One Year Anniversary and Press Week of the chapel slated for March 2024.

Ezenyili’s reaffirmation of impartial development endeavors across Oshimili South signals a determined commitment to equitable progress, laying the foundation for a comprehensive and inclusive transformation throughout the council.
