
ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Commissioner for Special Duties (Government House), Dr. Ifeanyi Michael Osuoza, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of former Deputy Governor of the state, His Excellency, Chief BSC Elue.
In a condolence message issued following the news of his death on Saturday morning, Dr. Osuoza described the late elder statesman as a distinguished leader whose service to Delta State was defined by dedication, wisdom, and an enduring commitment to unity and progress.
He noted that Chief Elue’s years in public office reflected a life devoted to integrity and the advancement of the common good, adding that he carried the responsibilities of leadership with calm strength and a profound sense of duty.
According to the Commissioner, the late former Deputy Governor’s legacy remains one of honour and impactful service, having contributed significantly to the growth and stability of Delta State.
“At this difficult moment, may his immediate family find comfort in the remarkable legacy he leaves behind — a legacy of service, honour, and purposeful leadership,” Osuoza said.
He further described the passing of Chief Elue as a great loss not only to Delta State but to Nigeria, noting that the nation has lost a true servant-leader.
Dr. Osuoza prayed for divine strength for the bereaved family and for the peaceful repose of the departed statesman’s soul, adding that his memory would remain a lasting blessing to the people he served.
