Otheremu Assumes Duty as Delta State Ombudsman

ASABA/Nigeria: The new Commissioner representing Delta State on the board of the Public Complaints Commission, Hon. Joseph Otheremu has resumed duty, stating that people should carry out their functions without bias.
Hon. Otheremu who arrived the Asaba, Delta State office of the Public Complaints Commission on Wednesday, May 30, 2018, assured the public that complaints would be handled dispassionately and speedily.

“”I can assure you that for us in Delta PCC, the vision is to ensure that we do our job impartially, we must be fair to everybody, confidential and independent in the course of our duty to ensure that anybody who complains to us gets justice and ultimately goes back home satisfied,” he said
While soliciting the support of all stakeholders to enable him succeed on his job, Hon. Otheremu thanked the staff of PCC for the warm reception accorded him, saying, “I look forward to working with you and getting to know all of you and I am sure that throughout my tenure, we are going to be working closely together.”
“Am indeed very grateful and elated for this reception put together, I look forward to a dedicated, disciplined and determined staff as our activities will be well publicised bearing in mind the crucial roles we play in the society, we are the voice of the voiceless, the hope of the downtrodden,” he added.
The Director of Investigation in the state office, Mr Phillip Enyali said the Commission was saddled with the responsibility of adjudicating and resolving any form of injustice against Nigerians and foreigners.
He welcomed Hon. Otheremu to the Commission assuring that he will get the support of the staff and management as the arrow head of the Ombudsman in the State.
Hon. Otheremu was among other 37 Commissioners inaugurated on Wednesday 23rd May, 2018 by the leadership of the National Assembly.
Some of dignitaries who witnessed the event include, Chief Julius Orioko; Mr Teddy Agbeyeke; Mr Yaro Idudu; Squandron Leader Ivrogbo Samson (rtd); Barr. Joseph Akpobigho; Vincent Ederigbe; Onothoja Erneston; Management and staff of the Commission among other dignitaries.
