BURUTU/Nigeria: The Deputy Governor of Delta State, Deacon Barr Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, has commended members of the electoral bodies including independent observers for the credible electoral process which produced a Senatorial candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Deacon Otuaro who addressed journalists after casting his votes at Isoko south, Oleh stadium, said he was elated with the transparent conduct of the election, appealed to whoever emerged the winner and loser of the Senatorial primary election to accept the outcome of the result in good faith.
Senator James Manager, who defeated his opponents with 563 votes, also commended the entire members of the electoral body for their good works of free and fair process where he emerged as the clear winner after defeating Hon Mike Diden, who polled 490 votes.
Senator Manager who was immediately congratulated by his close opponent Hon Michael Diden, commended those who voted for him during the election as well as those who did not vote for him, assuring that they will work together for the victory of the party in all the elections, come 2019.
Earlier in her address, before the commencement of the entire electoral process at the Oleh township stadium, the chairman of the Delta South PDP, Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba, appreciated members of the party for the support since the inception of reign as the chairman of Delta South Senatorial District, earlier stance that the outcome of the election would be free and fair while appealing to all the party faithful to maintain calm and decorum for a peaceful process which eventually played out.
The election was supervised by the Hon Commissioner for information chief Patrick Ukah , the returning officer Mr Pedro Egharevba, PDP Chairman, Delta South. Prince Emmanuel Amgbaduba, Independent observers amongst several others.
