Hon Ochor while congratulating Chief Paul Emeshiri for the conferment, said the revered title of chiefs, popularly known as ONOTU in the area is one of the best African culture, that is so unique, as it is the gathering of individuals who desired to be there, and offer themselves as selfless to the community, to ensure the smooth running of their places.

“The institution is unique in a way, because it is a personal decision to join in the highest organ of decision making in the community.” He said.

“It is one of the unique cultures of Ukwuani, like any other African culture which is development based, those that are interested are welcome, while those who feel they cannot for now, but appreciate the enormity of the work carried out by the chiefs in council, should continue to assist them to succeed.”

“One thing is to be noted, we cannot throw away our culture, especially when it does not involve criminality, and lives. We have to preserve and promote it. It is our identity, and it is unique.” He concluded.
