ASABA/Nigeria: Engr Miracle Arimobi, Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor on Female Youths and organiser of The Power of Her conference, has announced that over 1,000 female youths have registered to participate in the highly anticipated event set for Friday, 18th October 2024.
Speaking at the weekly Journalist Hangout organised by the Delta State Council of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Arimobi revealed that the conference aims to ignite the interest of young women in politics and governance. She emphasised the importance of female involvement in leadership, expressing her belief in the untapped potential of women in Delta State and Nigeria at large.
“There is power in every female youth in this country, especially in Delta State, and I believe every young woman is a star,” she said.
Arimobi highlighted the overwhelming response to the conference as a reflection of the success of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s MORE AGENDA, which places strong emphasis on inclusivity and the empowerment of women. She praised the governor’s commitment to fostering an environment where women can actively participate in leadership roles.
At the NUJ event, participants lauded Governor Oborevwori’s dedication to gender inclusion, noting that The Power of Her aligns with his vision of ensuring women have a voice in governance.
