ASABA/Nigeria: Delta State Governor Political Aide on Special Duties (Media) Mr Ossai Ovie Success has disclosed that through prudent management of resources, Delta State Governor Sen Ifeanyi Okowa has created over 40,000 jobs.
The Governor’s Aide who spoke in Asaba, during the weekend shortly after an interaction with Youths In Asaba said, ” It is no longer news that Nigeria as a Nation has been under recession and has hindered alot of possibilities but in Delta State the story is different.
Okowa youth empowerment Programme has yielded some fruitful result as a result of Gov Okowa determination of reducing the rate of unemployment in Delta State.
The recession in the country has never stopped Governor Okowa from creating jobs in Delta State, through the Job and Wealth Creation Scheme.”
“Since August 2015, when Gov Okowa launched the Job and Wealth Creation Scheme with the following programmes viz; Youth Agricultural Entrepreneurs Programme (YAGEP), Skills Training and Entrepreneurship Programme (STEP), and Production and Processing Support Programme (PPSP).
Over 40,000 jobs has been created both in the private sector jobs.”, Mr Ossai said adding that “this figure consists of direct jobs and indirect jobs of both skilled and unskilled workers, there is no Local government you will go to without over 2000 youths been empowered by Gov Ifeanyi Okowa.
