WARRI/Nigeria: The president of Gabriel Oyibode Foundation and Chief Executive Officer of Geotag Oil and Gas Limited, a Chieftain of the APC who hails from Ezhionum in Ukwani Local Government Area of Delta State, a former Senatorial Aspirant under the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta North Senatorial District, Chief Dr. (Amb) Gabriel Chukwuma Etaoghenevwegba Oyibode (JP) has been inducted into the admired fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance (USA), Nigeria Chapter.
The event which took place at the Nigeria Merit House, coupled with leadership conference with the theme “Leadership and Institutional Reform; Strategy for Sustainable National Development was an ample opportunity for issues affecting Nigeria socio-economic development to be addressed.
While conferring the honour on Dr. Gabriel Oyibode and other sixty-two new inducted fellows, the Regional Director of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance, Nigeria Chapter, Dr. Segun Ojarotade said the new inducted fellows are few Nigerians who are found worthy and competent, after a rigorous screening process and close examination stressing that the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance is a global institute for effective leadership.
Dr. Segun charged the old and new fellows to be good ambassadors; advocates of positive change in Nigeria and in the international community. He went further to say, the reason Africa and other third world countries are suffering is due to poor and bad leadership. “The secret of any developed society or country where institutions are functioning effectively is effective and good leadership”, Dr. Segun further stated.
However, while receiving the honour, Chief Dr. Gabriel Oyibode said he was overwhelmed by his selection as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Leadership and Governance CILG.
Chief Dr. Gabriel Oyibode is also a fellow of the Institute of Business Diplomacy and Financial Management, Fellow Institute of Disaster Management and Safety Sciences, fellow Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurs of Nigeria, fellow of the Chartered Institute of Corporate Accountant and Managers of West Africa (Ghana), and the Chartered Institute of Public Diplomacy and Management.
Other new inducted fellows include; Hon. (Barr) Mohammed Wakil – former Honourable Minister of State for Power, Pastor Ezekiel Adedosu – Assistant General Overseer to Pastor E. A. Adeboye, Dr. Boboye Olayemi Oyeyemi, Prof. (Amb) Ejiofor Chinedu, Emmanuel, Hon. Shehu Sale Hassan, Jide Ojo, Revered Godwin Abba, Mr. Bemigho Scott-Emuakpor, Mrs. Gold Bridget Iwinose, Hon. (Dr.) Emmanuel Sorokwu – Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Political Matters and many more.
