The Ndokwa East Local Council Chairmanship candidate for the All Progressive Congress party (APC) Comrade Olisa Charles Obiechine has called for a political Equilibrium in order to enhance what he described as equitable democratic polity for the people of the area and ensure the implementation of true democracy for the nation. Comrade Olisa who was interview on live, said that with the current global millennium transformation, one party system and imposition of unpopular and unacceptable candidates on the electorate is fast becoming outdated and primitive. He therefore requested the people of Ndokwa East to forego the Idea of partisan culture and vote in persons with outstanding and credible track records of moral and grass root orientation who will turn their destiny around for better tomorrow. “As Nigerians are getting wiser the era of imposition of persons against the wish and choice of the masses is over, there is need for multiple parties polity, in view of enthroning political equilibrium which will be better for the society and democratic growth in the country” he noted.
The LG council Chairmanship Candidate Comrade Olisa Charles Obiechine, a banker, Town Planner and an Environmental Manager told our reporter online that he was born and bred in Ashaka, though, an indigene of Aboh town, has the knowledge of the terrain and the problems of the people at the tip of his fingers, which gives him the edge over other candidates that may emerge from other political parties. He promised all incisive governance, especially with the collaboration of the traditional Rulers whom he described as custodians of Local, Grassroots and native wisdom, knowledge and experience to move the area forward.
According to him, he was motivated into politics by the desire to unleash his wealth of experience as an accountable banker, modified town planner and well tutored Environment manager, for the rapid and adequate transformation of the area. Among his priorities include development of marine transportation on the water ways of the communities along the River Niger, for convenient and constant evacuation of the peoples’ farm produce. Comrade Obiechine Olisa also promised to diversify the Local Council’s economy through investment on Agro Allied such improved crops and tree farming establishment of cottage industries for job creation to absorb the teaming jobless skilled and unskilled school leavers and graduates.
He told our reporter that for the women and the youths to be meaningfully engaged and will, when already elected into office, encourage skills acquisition centers for self reliance, promote Educational development through award of scholarship and float Housing Scheme for teachers who will agree to serve in the interior Villages of the Local Government Area as an incentive “I shall ensure the adequate security of lives and property of my people of the area in partnership with the law enforcement agents and security operatives. This will help minimize the inter and intra communal crisis in the Local Government” he said.
Other areas of his augent attention will be adequate Health care delivery through regular Seminars and workshop among the health workers as well as sports development to promote socialization, Love and Unity among the youths devoiled of gender discrimination as a means of deliverting their mind from violence and other criminal activities. The APC Candidate further asserted that his Local Government administration will be a leading example in the rehabilitation of the old people and less privileged persons like the orphans, disabled and motherless children who will be allocated certain percentage of the Local Government monthly revenue describing them as dependant population.
