Palm Sunday: Christians Asked to Give Freely

Agbor: Christians has been called to imbibe the spirit of true giving as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.2017 Palm Sunday celebration

This was the message to Nigerian Christians by Rev. Benjamin Ezania during the 2017 Palm Sunday celebration at the Ebenezer Anglican Church, Idumesah in Ika North East Local Government of Delta State.

The Priest reminded the congregation of the significance of the Feast of Palm Sunday to Christians, said it was the triumph of Jesus to the city of Jerusalem, where he was much aware of the consequent of his going there, and it’s significant to the liberation of man from all form of sins.

Make a reference to the biblical verse where Jesus sent his disciples to the next community and to comeback with a little donkey, said that the action of the owner of the donkey who did not resist the disciples, shows that all in this world is for God, no matter how precious it may be.

He called on Nigerians, especially Christians to ensure they hold nothing back for those who genuinely need their attention and assistants.

Speaking further, Rev. Ezania called on those that are in authourity and the church to ensure that corruption is fought with all zeal, as was demonstrated by Christ who destroyed everything in the house of God, he saw as act of corruption, especially the money changers and those who had turned a place of worship to a market place.

He called on the government and those occupying position of authourity to ensure that Nigerians get the basic amenities to live a seamless life, without pain.
