OKAPANAM/Nigeria: Parents have been called upon to strive towards bringing up their children in proper and organised manner as well as with the fear of God.
A frontline indigene of Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area of Delta State, Comrade Chukwuka Abumujor, who made the call in Okpanam during the child dedication of his baby, Miss Munachi Ifeanyi Abumujor said that the arrival of the baby had contributed in strengthening the already existing joy in the family.
Comrade Abumujor stated that he decided to appreciate God by dedicating the child to Him as a result the miraculous work of God upon his family, especially for the safe delivery of the baby having passed through some uncertainties during labour.
In their separate remarks, the elder brother of the celebrant, Mr. Obi Abumujor, elder Austine Okafor, Mrs. Agulum Osakwe and Mrs. Beatrice Abumujor who is the mother of the father of the baby noted that children were blessings from God , urged couples waiting for the fruit of the womb to have faith in God just as they reiterated that delay was not denial.
While advising the couple to shun third party influence on their marriage and love each other, Mrs. Beatrice Abumujor and elder Austine Okafor harped on string need to bring up children in decent manner.
Speaking in an interview with journalists, the mother of the baby, Mrs. Amaka Abumujor, who was overwhelmed with joy thanked God for seeing her through the rigorous process of giving birth said that she could not appreciate God enough even as she pledged to bring up the child in the way of God.
Mrs. Amaka Abumujor lauded friends and well wishers for finding time to identify with her family, stressing that she would continue to serve God at all times and advised couples not to lose hopes as God’s time was different from that of man.
