ASABA/Nigeria: Excited by Prince Ned Nwoko ‘s patriotic contributions to the Paris club loan refunds which ended Nigeria’s economic recession , the Association of Local governments of Nigeria ALGON , has honoured the international lawyer and prominent Anioma son.
The National president of ALGON ,Hon Tanko Gambo Kagara conveyed the recognition award in a letter presented to Prince Nwoko at a courtesy visit in Abuja accompanied by national officials of the body.
Hon. Kagara said a high profile ceremony would formally mark the presentation of the award on ,17th of August 2018 at transcorp Hilton Abuja.
Prince Ned Nwoko, a British- trained legal practitioner deployed his prodigious intellectual and professional knowledge to evolve the payment of series of loan refunds to the 774 local governments ,36 states of the federation as well as the Federal government .
The huge tranches of the Paris club funds running into millions of dollars remain the saving grace of Nigeria and her people at a difficult era the nation faced severe economic down turn especially since 2013 – till date.
With the financial life line provided by the availability of the Paris club money , governments across the federation had been able to meet critical needs particularly payment of salaries of millions of public sector workers and development of social infrastructure.
Ned Nwoko an incorruptible politician is seeking the Senate seat for Delta North come 2019, a bid that had gained widespread goodwill and acceptability in Anioma area of Delta state and far afield .
