Party To Organise The Role of Women In Politics Workshop In Delta

ISELE-UKU/Nigeria: The office of the Aniocha North Peoples Democratic Party, PDP women leader is set to organize a one-day workshop at Issele Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State.

The women leader, Mrs Nkem Ogbechei, who disclosed this to our correspondent in her Home at Onicha Ugbo in an interactive session, stated that the theme of the workshop is: Motherhood: The Role of Women in Politics.

Mrs Ogbechei said that she was inspired to organize the workshop to enlightened the women in politics but actually do not know the game as it should be played.

According to her, the commissioner for Humanitarian and Community Support Services, Mrs Bridget Anyafulu, would deliver a lecture on the role of women in politics, and expressed hope that the lectures would further enlightened them and deepen their knowledge of Politics.

Ogbechei said that theme would be x-rayed by HRM Omu Martha Dumkwu, the Omu of Anioma, all in a view to strengthening the women to be resolutely committed to supporting their male counterpart.

She expressed appreciation to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his interest and show of love to women in politics in the state, saying that his administration had changed the old narrative as it were in the past.

Also, she noted that Chief Nkem Okwuofu, and Mrs Ada Kachikwu were the pillar of PDP women in the local government, saying that they had continued to encourage them.
