SAPELE/Nigeria: The minister in Charge of the Flames of Fire Miracle Chapel Sapele , Pastor Arogbo Benjamin has admonished Christians to do all they can to be remembered for good but not evil deeds while still here on planet.
The cleric who officiated in a brief sermon at the Burial ceremony of late Mrs Eunice Ikoyo nee Atoye, at Ibada Elume in Sapele local government area of Delta State ask those present at the ceremony that “what would they be remembered for after they have departed this earth. Is it for good or evil, he asked?
He said, when people dies, you hear many given good testimonies of the deeds while on earth without venturing to say of his or her bad deeds, pointing out that after death God who is the Supreme being is the final judge.
He said today, mama Ikoyo is gone and many people are already missing her good deeds while if perchance she has offended any or God, such people are equally remembering those things.
The man of God who read from the Scriptures in the book of Rev. 22 verse 11-10 added that everyone whether Bishop Pastor or layer men, everyone will one day stand face to face with God and give an account of themselves where the Ultimate Master will call each persons results.
Pastor Arogbo appealed to Christians to make their ways straight with God now that they are alive so that they will have a place in heaven.
He prayed to the children of the departed Mr Eunice Adoye to live longer on earth more than their mother who died at the age of 67 as he appealed to them to do everything well in the sight of God by ushering people into heaven.
Hon Gabriel Ekotogbo who is likened to a son of the departed Adoye (a foster son) in his tribute at the ceremony, described her as a very kind and loving mother who will go any length to put smiles on the faces of the needy while denying herself in the process.
He explained that when she was alive, she made sure that all her children had the best they needed, including quality education and sound moral back ground that is aiding them today, regretting that he will miss her good legacies and upright virtues which he said, has no replacement at the moment.
He encouraged the biological children to be consoled in the Lord who knows what He does at any particular time just as he assured them to have faith in God who alone will see them through the journey of life since their mum is no more with them.
The son of the departed Mama Eunice, Mr. Peace Adoye described his late mother as a mother in a Million whose vacuum would be difficult to fill, emphasising that she gave him a sound moral training that he is living on today, even as he advised mothers never to allow their children and wards to stray away but always entrust them to the warm embrace of God.
