An investigation carried out by our reporter based on patients report showed that virtually all the Doctors attached to the hospital hardly come to work.

A typical day in the life of a patient who uses the Kwale General Hospital shows that the patient will be attended to late or by Nurses, after waiting for the whole day without the Doctors.

The situation in the hospital environments and the out patients departments is always filled with patients waiting to see the Doctors who are never available.

Our encounter with some of the patients depicts pain and frustration, as some of them complained of coming to the hospital very early without food, but with intention of seeing the Doctors and face their other daily activities.

Our findings revealed that most of the Doctor goes for their private practices outside the hospital, as almost all have their private hospitals, where they want the people to come to receive treatments.

The residents of the area who are very bitter about the situation called on the commissioner of Health Dr. Azinge, and the state Governor Dr Ifeanyi Okowa to look into what they termed a very dangerous situation.
