PDP Chieftain Defects to APC In Ukwuani

Obiaruku: A onetime Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship Aspirant in Ukwuani Local Government area of Delta State, Barrister Prosper Esegbue has defected to the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) with his teaming supporters of the (PDP) across the Local Government Area.
ApcpdpThe former PDP Chieftain who addressed journalists at a press briefing in Obiaruku, the administrative headquarters of Ukwuani Local Government Area, maintained that he and his followers decided to move to APC having realized that PDP has nothing more to offer Nigerians having destroyed the country for 16 years.
The legal luminary explained that since the inception of democracy in Nigeria, it has been the same old story from the PDP, whereas, they at the leadership positions have failed to address the plights of their electorates instead, they continue to filled their pockets with stolen money to the detriments of those they are made to serve.
He decried that even now workers’ salaries has not been paid one and half year after, as other social amenities needed by the good people of Delta State were also not coming forth “a sign of total failure he said”
He revealed that a reception party has been arranged for him and his overwhelming supporters from Ukwuani at the state capital by the leadership of Delta State APC and at the National level, predicting that better days are ahead for all APC controlled States as well as the national level.
The former PDP stalwart in Ukwuani who has worked tirelessly to make all their leaders in his local government and other PDP leaders in the country before his defection said with his exit from the party to APC, the pace of development in the local government and at the state level will move faster with the calibre of persons defecting daily to APC in Delta State.
Barrister Esegbue called on all Deltans particularly the good people of Ukwuani Local government area to have faith in APC, that has brought total transformation and change to the people, appealing that they should give the government of President Muhammadu Buhari maximum support and have patience with his government because in no time better days will come and Nigerians will smile again.
Some of his supporters who moved with him to APC, immediately after the news briefing, told journalists that with the calibre of Barrister Prosper Esegbue who has the interest of his people at heart, Ukwuani and Delta in particular will experience rapid transformation.
