PDP Chieftain Extols Oborevwori’s Achievements as He Turns 60, Foresees a Proud Delta State

ASABA/Nigeria: Renowned communication strategist and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olorogun Barr Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, has once again emphasized the importance of collective efforts to support the state governor, Elder Sheriff Francis Oborevwori, in advancing Delta through his M.O.R.E agenda. Oghenesivbe made this call during a live radio interview in Asaba, highlighting that governance is a shared responsibility that involves citizens, elected representatives, political appointees, party structures, and the private sector working together for the benefit of the state.

He urged all Deltans, regardless of their political affiliations, to join in celebrating and giving thanks to God on Monday, June 19, for the successful inauguration and 60th birthday anniversary of their new Governor, Rt Hon (Elder) Sheriff Francis Oborevwori.

Earlier in the week, the Secretary to the Delta State Government, Dr Kingsley Emu, announced that the Thanksgiving Service for the Successful Inauguration of Elder Oborevwori and his 60th birthday anniversary would take place at the Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, located along Ibusa Road in Asaba. Following the Thanksgiving Service, the celebration will continue at an Event Centre off Okpanam Road, Asaba, where invited guests, government officials, party leaders, and dignitaries from various walks of life will enjoy gospel music and entertainment.

During the radio program, Fred Oghenesivbe assured listeners that Governor Oborevwori would make both Deltans and the state proud as he implements his M.O.R.E socioeconomic blueprint. He acknowledged the significant events that occurred before, during, and after the governorship election, as well as the peaceful transfer of power from the previous governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa, CON, to Elder Oborevwori on May 29. These events, he explained, should not be overlooked, which is why Deltans decided to express their gratitude to God through praise and worship for His unconditional love towards the state and their new Governor.

Oghenesivbe also highlighted the challenges faced by Governor Oborevwori during the PDP governorship primary, where he was unjustly criticized, subjected to unfounded allegations, and dragged to multiple courts. However, he successfully won all the cases in lower courts and the Supreme Court before ultimately winning the governorship election by a significant margin.

“It is crucial for Governor Oborevwori and the good people of Delta State to express their gratitude to God and celebrate the multiple victories of the past, as well as to thank Him in advance for what He will do for Delta State because Delta is God’s own state, and He divinely guides our affairs from His throne of grace,” Oghenesivbe remarked.

He further explained that the upcoming celebration serves a dual purpose since their esteemed governor will be turning sixty on Monday, June 19.

“Both his 60th birthday anniversary and the thanksgiving service for his successful inauguration will be held together on the same day at The Living Faith Church, also known as Winners Chapel, located along Ibusa Road, Asaba, starting from 10 am,” Oghenesivbe concluded.
