ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP, today May 22, 2022 joined the rest party of the party in the country to starts the Primaries that will produce the candidates of the party in 2023 General Election.
The party after many postponement because of the new passed electoral Bill 2022 amended section 84 (80, yet to be signed by President Muhammadu Buhari, have decided to move on with its primaries with the elected adhoc delegates.
The Delta Chapter had seen many intrigues in the run up of the primaries, as the Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa and few other party leaders had been accused of manipulating the delegates for their favour.
However with the results coming out from the venues of the primaries, many shockers had been witnessed as some strong members of the present 7th Assembly had been knocked out for the 2023 race.
