ASABA/Nigeria: in Delta State, Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has commended the concerted efforts of local government chairmen affiliated with the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for their dedication to executing projects aimed at improving the lives of residents.
This commendation in a ceremony to commission projects in Oshimili North Local Government Area, in a ceremony, which saw the unveiling of various developmental initiatives spearheaded by Hon. Innocent Esewezie, Chairman.
Governor Oborevwori, represented by his Deputy Sir Monday Onyeme, FCA, emphasized the significance of these projects in advancing the state’s development agenda.
“It is heartwarming to know that chairmen of different local government councils in our state have rolled out projects for commissioning, which is a good development as it clearly shows that the Chairmen are aware of their responsibilities and are delivering on their mandates of making life easy for our people,” stated Governor Oborevwori.
Highlighting the administration’s commitment to the M.O.R.E. Agenda, the Governor praised the meaningful impact of the projects undertaken in Oshimili North under Hon. Esewezie’s leadership.
“I am aware that within the last few years, the administration of Hon. Esewezie has rebuilt and equipped the only primary school owned by the local government… We also commissioned the Akwukwu-Igbo modern town hall and inspected the Ugbolu market which is undergoing construction,” Governor Oborevwori further added.
In his address, Chairman Innocent Esewezie reiterated that these projects were meticulously planned to address the pressing infrastructural needs of the community, reflecting a commitment to effective governance.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the member representing Oshimili North in the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Frank Esenwa, Traditional Rulers, Chairman of PDP, Delta North, Elder Moses Iduh, Deputy Chief of Staff, Government House, Sir Christopher Osakwe, and immediate Chief Press Secretary to Delta State Government, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, among others.
Governor Oborevwori concluded by urging all Deltans to support and safeguard these developmental projects, emphasizing the importance of fostering peace and collective engagement in activities that promote the positive image of Delta State.
