PDP Members in Beneku Ward 4 Pass Votes of Confidence on State Governor, Pledge Unity and Commitment

BENEKU/Nigeria: In a display of unity and support, leaders and members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Beneku Ward 4, Ndokwa East Local Government Area of Delta State, have passed votes of confidence on the State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, the State Government, and the State People’s Democratic Party. The votes of confidence were passed during a reconciliation meeting held at the Beneku Community Town Hall.

Addressing the gathering of over five thousand party members, Chief Odalonu Godwin Otuya, the convener of the meeting and the leader of PDP in Beneku, explained that the meeting aimed to appreciate party followers for their contributions and commitments during the 2023 general elections. It also served as a platform for reconciliation among aggrieved members arising from the recent elections.

The PDP Chieftain expressed joy and satisfaction at the large turnout, conveying the appreciation and gratitude of the State Governor, State, and Delta North PDP leaders to the members. He emphasized that Ward 4, comprising Beneku, Okpai, and Utchi communities, remained dominantly PDP domains.

Chief Odalonu Otuya highlighted the significant benefits Ward 4 had reaped from the present state government, including the emergence of Hon. Nnandi Ezechi as the Lawmaker representing Ndokwa/Ukwuani Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives. He called for forgiveness among party members to ensure greater unity and commitment in future elections.

Chief Chunwuloru Okolie, another leader of PDP in Beneku, also addressed the party members, acknowledging their contributions to the victories of PDP candidates in recent elections. He urged patience with the present state government and other elected Ndokwa politicians, emphasizing the need for unity, dedication, and commitment to the PDP and the state government’s initiatives.

Furthermore, Chief Okolie extended an invitation to indigenes and party members who had left the PDP, assuring them that the party’s doors were wide open for their return. He commended Chief Odalonu Otuya for convening the meeting and encouraged members to remain focused and committed to the upcoming elections.

Other community and PDP leaders from Beneku, including Chiefs Augustine Okolie, Cyril Emeni, and PDP Ward 4 Woman Leader Mrs. Stella Anyabine, spoke during the meeting, expressing their gratitude to Chief Odalonu Otuya for convening the gathering and pledging to maintain peace, unity, and dedication within the party.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of various support groups, including Odozi Ani/Ezinne Support Group, Agujiegbe Unity Group, Ndokwa East Female PDP Youths Leaders, and the Association of Market Men and Women Beneku.
