ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa had been commended for transforming the economy of the state to be productive in the past 5 years of his administration.
Making the commendation in his congratulatory message to the governor on the anniversary of the first year of his second tenure, Engr. Philip Ugbomah Chukwumah, a Peoples Democratic Party, PDP chieftain, and an aspirant for the House of Assembly in the 2019 election, said that the policies of the governor in the last 5 years had transformed the state into an enviable state, where all sectors of development had been attended to.
He cited the governor’s policies on entrepreneurial development and road construction linking different parts of the state, especially the hinterland as a welcome development, and something that need to be appreciated, stating that these two policies are policies that drive the economy growth of a state.
“The development policies of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa had been unprecedented. Every of his policy had transform the state, especially in the areas of Skill Acquisition which had been on, from the beginning of this administration, and in the area of road construction and rehabilitation. The roads had opened up many of our rural areas, and economic activities had greatly improved in the state.”
He stated further that Deltans are lucky to have him as the governor, at a time the world had been facing one economic and financial crises, and they should pray for him to take the state to that strong and enviable statue he had promised in his Strong Delta Agenda.
“We are lucky to have the Person of Ifeanyi Okowa as our governor at this time the world had been facing one Economic and Financial Crises, especially since 2014. And now with the Novel Coronavirus. We have to continue to support him through prayers, so that his policy of a stronger Delta will be achieved.” He said.
