ASABA/Nigeria: The former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori had been called a man with a big heart when it comes to the development of Delta State, and the Niger Delta in General.
Engr. Philips Ugbomah Chukwumah, Managing Director, CPU Construction LLT Nig, had in a birthday message congratulating the former Governor at 62 years, said that the establishment of most of the interventionist agencies in the Niger Delta was the outcome of his continuous drive while in office and out of office.
He stated that the years of experience garnered from private and public services positioned him as a governor who saw the physical development of the state as a paramount issues that have to be achieved through collective efforts of all stakeholders in and out of the region.
He recalled the efforts he made to bring lasting peace in the state when he became governor, especially amongst the ethnic nationalities, who were at daggered edged on will control the oil deposits in their collective areas.
“Your Excellency, you had a big heart for development. Your efforts saw peace reign in our dear state, Delta, especially amongst the various ethnic nationalities in oil producing areas.”
“You brought your experiences to achieve peace in our dear state. Your efforts saw the creation of different interventionist agencies within the Niger Delta Area, which today is focusing in the development of the region.
