Polaris Bank Pledges Substantial Support for Ogun State’s Key Sectors in a Bid for Socio-Economic Growth

LAGOS/Nigeria: Polaris Bank, recognized as Nigeria’s prominent digital retail bank, has pledged its commitment to bolster the development of crucial sectors within Ogun State. Mr. Adekunle Sonola, the Managing Director/CEO of Polaris Bank, articulated this pledge during discussions with journalists subsequent to leading the bank’s management team in a visit to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, at his office in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, on Wednesday.

Highlighting the notable strides made by the state administration in areas of infrastructure, education, and agro-processing, Mr. Sonola emphasized Polaris Bank’s eagerness to extend support, particularly in financial backing, to expedite socio-economic advancement. The discourse centered on collaborative prospects encompassing infrastructure, housing, healthcare, education, and agriculture, underscoring the bank’s dedication to complement the government’s endeavors in catering to the needs of the people of Ogun State.

Expressing a preparedness to provide support in counterpart funding, Mr. Sonola spotlighted Polaris Bank’s innovative products, notably the e-hospital platform operational in 11 states, augmenting revenue collection through technological means. Characterizing Ogun State as among Nigeria’s most progressive regions with robust infrastructure, he lauded the state’s conducive business environment.

Quoting Mr. Sonola, “Governor Abiodun is running one of the most progressive states in the country with a lot of laudable objectives and achievements in the last four years. As Bankers to the community, we are here to show our support and to also see for ourselves the achievements on ground, as well as offer our services for the progress and development of the state.”

The CEO of Polaris Bank iterated that the management has identified collaboration opportunities with the Ogun State Government, assuring that the projects discussed during the meeting would commence delivery within a few months.

The discussions with Governor Abiodun encompassed a wide spectrum of areas, including infrastructure, housing delivery, healthcare improvement programs, education, agriculture, and other sectors where the bank could contribute. Mr. Sonola emphasized the symbiotic relationship in delivering services to the people.

Further asserting Polaris Bank’s longstanding presence in the state, including a vibrant and modern branch in the state capital, Mr. Sonola affirmed the continuous provision of a robust personal banking experience for the people of Ogun State.

Encouraging investors to leverage the state’s vast potential and favorable business atmosphere, Sonola called upon them to establish their ventures in the Gateway State.
