ASABA/Nigeria: The Delta State Police Command has arrested one Mr Abdukarim, a Fulani herdsman for attacking a farmer in Oturu, Aniocha South Local Government of the State.
A source told Ndokwa Reporters that the incident occurred on Sunday 3 of September, 2017 when the herdsman lead his cattle into the farm of one Mr. Emmanuel who challenged himfor destroying the crops in the farm.
According to our source, a volunteer security operative in the area said that the herdsmen challenged the owner of the farm for complaining against the intrusion of the farm by the animals, thus hey attacked the farmer with a dagger knife, wounding him.
Mr Emmanuel was however saved by neighbours who saw him in pain, as he was rushed to hospital in Ogwashi Uku, where he is currently recuperating.
Meanwhile, the suspected attacker, Mr Abdukarim, is now with the anti-Kidnapping unit of the Delta State Police Command, Asaba.
The state police image maker however could not verify or deny the story as he asked we send him sms as he was in a meetring.
