SAPELE/Nigeria: Sapele Police Division in Delta State has arrested 25 years, Liyo Okiri, a member of a two-man armed robbery gang, in Sapele.
The Divisional Police Officer in Sapele (DPO), CSP Harrison Nwabusi, received a distressed call that a two man armed robbery gang was operating at No. 6, Power Close, Okirigbaga in Sapele and had detailed and led a police patrol team to the scene.
The team upon arrival condoned off the area and laid ambush that led to the arrest of Okiri.
One locally made pistol, two live cartridges and one expended cartridge were recovered from the gang.
Manhunt for the other fleeing suspect is ongoing.
