ASABA/Nigeria: Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has said that prayers to God Almighty were a sure way to achieve economic stability.
The governor who said this today, June 8, 2018 at the 2nd Edition of Direct Prayer Impact of the Pastors’ Forum for Sustainable Development(PFSD) with the theme “And It Came To Pass” in Asaba explained that only through heartfelt prayers to God would the nation and the state maintain peace, unity, economic growth and stability.
According to him “I believe that prayers have brought positive change to our state and this nation because it is only God Almighty that can sustain us and keep us through this challenging period that we face as a nation”.
“As Christians and as Deltans we have to put God first, be prayerful and always believe that He has a plan and a solution for everything and all we have to do is to believe and trust in Him to see us through” the governor added.
He commended the forum for organizing such an important event and called on all Deltans to remain steadfast in their faith and constantly put the affairs of the state in prayers.
Delivering a brief sermon as well as commencing the prayer session of the event, Apostle Joshua Talena stated that with man made challenges in the country, there was a need for drastic change and that could only be achieved through prayers.
He emphasized the need for Christians to come together and pray for the success of the nation and its leaders.
