
LAGOS/Nigeria: The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Professor Folasade Ogunsola, OON, FAS, has approved the reappointment of three directors to head strategic institutions within the university.
Among them is Professor Abigail Ogwezzy-Ndisika of the Faculty of Mass Communication, who was reappointed as Director of the Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) for a fresh two-year term beginning September 1, 2025, and ending August 31, 2027.
Also reappointed are Professor Risikat O. Dauda of the Department of Economics, Faculty of Social Sciences, as Director of the Distance Learning Institute (DLI) with effect from August 16, 2025, to August 15, 2027, and Professor Obichere C. Iwuagwu of the Department of History and Strategic Studies, Faculty of Arts, as Director of the Confucius Institute (CI) for the period September 1, 2025, to August 31, 2027.
In a statement issued on behalf of the University Senate, staff, and students, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ogunsola congratulated the reappointed directors and wished them success as they continue to provide leadership and innovation in their respective roles.
