The Senior Political Adviser to the Government of Delta State, Chief Festus Ochonogor, the first Majority Leader of the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Aneke Ifemeni, the Executive Assistant to Governor Okowa on Political Matters, Hon. Jerry Eruvbedede, other Deltans has reacted to the victory of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa at the tribunal.
Chief Ochonogor described the tribunal judgement as “a consolidatory victory for Governor Okowa and Deltans ”while Hon. Ifemeni stated that the tribunal judgement did not come as a surprise as “Governor Okowa emerged from the grassroots from the primaries to the general elections, he is a true democrat who knows almost all Deltans byname, we are happy with the victory.”
To Hon. Eruvbedede, “we thank God, we prayed and worked for his electoral victory, Deltans are happy with the tribunal judgement. The Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Chief Ifeanyi Obi described the verdict of the tribunal as “victory for democracy, it was a popular judgement that Deltans are happy with and we hope that it will unite Deltans because we want everybody to work for the growth of the state. “Chairman, Utagba-Uno Progress Forum (UPF), Okowa Stephen Ebinum said, “We are happy with this judgement, we have supported the Governor from beginning and we will continue to support his administration, we hope that the opponents will no longer see themselves as opponents but partners in progress.”
