ABAVO/Nigeria: In a remarkable display of jubilation and gratitude, the widows of Abavo in the Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State welcomed Prophet Joseph Igbodo during their monthly gathering on Saturday, December 2, 2023.
The prophet, a renowned figure and General Overseer of Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International, made a generous donation of free food items to over four hundred (400) widows, eliciting an atmosphere filled with joy, excitement, and praises to God.
The heartening event took place at the Care Centre along Hospital Road, Ekwueze, Abavo, a facility established by Prophet Igbodo to serve as a haven for widows from the community and its surrounding areas. The atmosphere was vibrant with the presence of numerous widows who gathered to express their gratitude and receive the prophet’s benevolence.

Prophet Igbodo, known for his charitable initiatives, including the Job Orphanage and St. Stephen’s Trust Widows Home, captivated the audience with his words of assurance and encouragement. He reassured the widows of God’s unwavering provision, blessings, protection, care, love, good fortune, good health, and peaceful living.
“Embrace Jesus and His tenets of love and kindness to humanity,” urged Prophet Igbodo, emphasizing that such actions would attract blessings from God.
He stressed, “When you have Jesus, you have everything. Our coming here is not a mistake; it’s the best thing to do. Outside of God, no human can truly do good or treat you well.”
During the gathering, spiritual fervour soared as traditional gospel songs filled the air, accompanied by Ika cultural dances, serving as expressions of gratitude to God.

Prophet Igbodo, highlighting the significance of prayer, stated, “Prayer is working. We are here for God to change our situation. Life is a serious matter. We don’t need to live carelessly.”
He further emphasised the correlation between service to God, humanity, and prosperity, stating, “There is no way you follow God without being prosperous. Prosperity can only be procured by your service to God and humanity. Through prayer and work, you can unlock your God-given talents.”
The event culminated in Rev. Sunday Ugbaje leading the widows in prayers, following which the distribution of food items marked the zenith of the prophet’s visit. The widows, in individual expressions of gratitude, thanked the Prophet for his kindness and benevolence, praying for continuous blessings upon his life.
