KWALE/Nigeria: Less than 24 hours to the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) deadline for the collection of permanent voters cards (PVCs), a political aide, Comrade Linus Oju, has called on the people of Ndokwa nation to avail themselves the opportunity to collect their PVCs in order for them to exercise their voting right at the forthcoming general elections.
Comrade Oju, who was speaking in Kwale, headquarters of Ndokwa West Local Government at a political gathering, stated that PVC was the instrument that would make the Ndokwa people votes count, saying they should visit the nearest INEC office where they registered to collect their PVCs.
According to Comrade Oju who is the Special Assistant on Political Matters to the President General of Ndokwa Neku Union, Chief Johnson Opone, possession of PVC was also important a national document that could serve as a means of identification and bank transaction, among other usages.
Meanwhile, Comrade Linus Oju has launched a campaign track titled ‘Vote Okowa’ for the reelection of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for a second term.
At the album launch which took place in Kwale yesterday, Comrade Oju said that the track was motivated by the infrastructure and youth empowerment achievements of Governor Okowa, saying that the campaign track would not end in the album but would be played round the entire communities across Delta State.
He expressed gratitude to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Hon. Festus Agas and the Senior Political Adviser to the Governor, Chief Festus Ochonogor for their support and encouragement in making the project a reality.
Comrade Oju listed some groups he has coordinated since 2014 to include 2014 PDP Promoters Team in Ndokwa Nation, Governor Okowa Administration Sensitization Team in Ndokwa Nation, Team Agas for Okowa in Ndokwa West, and F.M Ochonogor Network in Ndokwa Nation for Okowa, adding they were all geared towards the reelection of Governor Okowa and the promotion of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
