OKPANAM/Nigeria: Christians and other well meaning individuals in the society have been urged to always bring up their children in the way of God.
The Parish Priest of St. Molumba Catholic Church, Okpanam, Oshimili North Local Government Area, Rev. Fr. Paul Adione, gave the advice in Okpanam during a birthday prayer thanksgiving for Master Ebubechukwu Leonard Asoya .
Rev. Adione, who prayed God to give the parents, Mr and Mrs. Chukwudi Asoya the enablement to be able to give the child good foundation as well as bring him up in the fear of God , noted that birthdays were very unique days in the life of every human being .
In her remarks, wife of the uncle to the baby, Mrs. Nkem Asoya advised the parents of the baby not to jeopardize the future of the child and take care his needs of the seriously.
Speaking with newsmen shortly after the birthday celebration, the parents of the baby, Comrade and Mrs Chukwudi Asoya said that they were happy to mark the first year of the birthday of the child, adding that children were blessings from God.
Comrade Asoya enjoined those waiting for the fruit of the womb not to lose hope but rely on God for their solutions.
