By Faith Obaro

EKPAN/Nigeria: Residents and commuters plying the ever-busy Hospital Road, Ekpan in Uvwie Local Government Area have expressed frustration and called for help over the flood issue in the area.

According to Mrs. Edith Osas, a business woman in the area, whenever it rained, the road from New Layout Junction to Seat of Wisdom School would be flooded.

She also stated that the flood made it difficult for businesses to thrive during the rainy season.

In the same vein, Mr. Oke Uvomata complained of the difficulty and stress faced when leaving home for work during the rainy season, stating that the flood messed him up after preparing for the day.

Oke went further to state that the waterways had been blocked by landlords of new buildings in the area and bad drainage systems, which he said needed to be dug afresh.

Commuters, residents and business people in the Area called on the State Government to come to their aid.
