ABOH/Nigeria: The Ndokwa East Local Government Chairman, Hon. Joan Governor, has warned the people of Ndokwa East to make arrangement for relocation as the water level rises.
He stated this recenyly in his office at Aboh during a meeting with Ndokwa East elders forum and councilors, saying that indigenes should not wait for the last minute rush when the road to Aboh was flooded before making any move.
He said that the councilors should sensitize people in their various wards to avoid being cut off by the flood thereby making the task of evacuation difficult for the State Emergency Relief Agency (S.E.M.A)
He said that a quick response will ensure their safety stating that SEMA may delay in the rescue mission as they have a broad area to evacuate people from throughout the state.
Responding, a councilor representing ward 4, Hon Tony Azuka said that they will do their best to sensitize the people.
He thanked the local government chairman for the financial support for going round the various wards both by boat and road especially to the interior towns of Abala,Utchi,Utchi.and Onyia communities which are cut off by flood during the raining season.
