The statement commended the courage of their candidate, Pastor (Arch) Tonye Cole mni, for exercising his rights under the Electoral Act and the Constitution.
The party highlighted the challenges faced during the election campaign, including draconian Executive Orders and intimidation from institutions that should be neutral. The press release specifically mentioned the bombing of the campaign venue at Rumuwoji and the assault and arrest of supporters, party leaders, and candidates.
Chief Emeka Eddeh, Osorochi Amadi, and Mr. Okorinama West were among those named as having faced arrest or illegal detention on the eve of the election. Furthermore, the statement underscored the severity of the attacks, noting the assassination attempt on Mr. Okorinama West, whose vehicle was shattered by bullets.

With the Supreme Court’s decision affirming Governor Fubara’s victory, the APC extended congratulations to him and urged him to initiate a genuine process of healing and reconciliation. The party called for the establishment of an independent panel to identify victims of electoral violence across the 23 LGAs, emphasizing the need to compensate victims regardless of their political party affiliation.
