Sakpra, Others Underscore Import of Love, Tolerance in Marriage

UDU/Nigeria: The need for married couples to always love and tolerate each other as well as shun third-party influence in the family in order for their union to see the light of the day has been brought to the fore.

The Delta State Commissioner for Special Project, Dr. Henry Sakpra gave the advice in a reception held Ekete in Udu Local Government Area of the state shortly after the solemnisation of holy matrimony between former Miss Mary Sunday Archibong and Mr. Terry Ughubowhovwo who is the Special Assistant to the Commissioner.

Dr. Sakpra said that marital union was important in the life of every individual, adding that they should put their trust in God and prayed God to bless their union.

Also speaking, the father of the Bride, Mr. Anthony Sunday Archibong admonished the newly married couple to hold God seriously, stressing that every marriage built on the foundation of God will be blessed by Him.

Mr. Archibong, who said that his joy knew no bounds, especially now that his daughter had been married, congratulated the couple and wished them success in their union.

In an interview with newsmen, the couple, Mr. and Mrs. Terry Ughubowhovwo described the day of their marriage as very unique in their life history.

They pledged to love each other at all times and thanked well-wishers for identifying with them.

Dignitaries present at the ceremony, which was attended by all staff of the Ministry of Special Project included Mr. Emmanuel Siakpra, Price Omoko Vincent, Tina Ogbon, Engr. Dennis Eki and Mr. Anthony Sunday Archibong among others.
