OWERRI/Nigeria: The thirteenth season of Igbo lands first and most prestigious cultural pageant Adandiigbo -the most beautiful Igbo girl came on stream at Allseasons hotel Owerri Imo state on the 9th December, 2017 .
The proud winner HRM Amarachi Nelly Ikoro is the 13th Adandiigbo and carries on a tradition of beauty with willpower ,she is currently on a familiarisation tour of the south east where she is making preparations and seeking partnerships for her walk against girl child challenges scheduled across the eastern and southern parts of Nigeria .
For her team, Her royal majesty Amarachi Nelly Ikoro is compiling a train of participants which would include partnering organisations, notable pageants, volunteering individuals, all seven Adandiigbo state queens :
AdaImo, AdaAnambra, AdaEbonyi, AdaDelta, AdaRivers, AdaAbia, AdaEnugu
Volunteers schools and religious organisations which would work towards enlightenment amongst the teenage girl child across the eastern and southern part of Nigeria on identified challenges faced by the girl child and proffered solutions.
The walk is aimed at creating awareness to help:
Prevent girl child marriages
Girl child Empowerment
Girl child right to education
Girl child protection against a whole lot of customary issues like mutilation and denials to property
The beauty queen is calling out to public institutions and individuals to be part of this effort to empower a girl child and by so doing ensure a blissful future for our children.
