Her Story:
Narrating her ordeal, pains and sufferings from a man he married many years ago without the support and approval of her family members, especially elderly brothers noted that she regretted going into such marry, which she admitted to be “out of her senses” Mrs. Nwaike, 38 years old made this revelations know in a press briefing at Edu Malasia, Ogbe ozoma in Okpanam, Asaba, Delta state. Speaking further, she gives detail insights into her misfortunate;
“The whole problem started three weeks after I got married to my husband, Pastor Chukwudi Nwaike in 2011, but could not ascertain the cause of my problem. I was experiencing constant bleeding and the situation has kept me barren for seven years and, my husband denied me medical attention and family visitation. Yes, my spouse is autocratic in nature and whatever he says or believes is final. He focuses much on church members that are well to do and, once those ones don’t have anything to give him again, he leaves them and focus on other members that has money to give him. Same, applicable to church workers, he runs them down in the presence of members when they are no longer useful to him. He keeps saying; God said I (Theresa) will be heal, even when he knows the situation remains the same. He kept me indoor, away from friends and family. Even when my people proposed to come and see me, he tells them that, until I put to birth, they can come and see me. He never wanted anybody to know about my problem until the pain became so severe that I can no longer bear it”.
She continued,” I started shouting and crying for help before he finally took me to the hospital in 2013. After several test carried out by the doctor. My husband said that I am having fibroid- that it’s the cause of my problem but, after being operated by the doctor, the bleeding continued and the doctor confirmed that, fibroid is not the cause of my problem and said my PVC is 2.7; warming that my life is at risk. Some of the members of the church who are very close to my husband that knew about the situation started complaining that I might die. She further said that her problem started again with her husband in May 2017 after the operation she did at Asaba General Hospital for the second time, and that gave rise to a stop of the bleeding, precisely, December 2017.
“Gloriously, I saw my family after seven years of marriage while I was still hospitalized, my elder brother paid me a courtesy visit and prayed for me. When I told my husband about it, he got angry with me and said I am following him back to Lagos state. He lamented, further, saying, “Why did you allow your elder brother to pray for you, his prayer has spoiled everything” At this drama, he immediately went and told the doctor to discharge me but I refused to follow him because the wounds were still fresh”.
However, the doctor told him to sign an undertaken before he could discharge me. My husband left me and went back to Lagos state. Since then, no phone calls even when I call him, he ignores my calls, even up till today. He is running away from me and from my family because he feels his evil act has been exposed. I want the government to look into this issue and let the needful be done, which is justice. She therefore urge ladies out there to note this ugly situation happening to her because she lost her senses before embarking on such undefined marriage that her families were never in support, advising miracle seekers in some churches to be careful and mindful . Mrs. Nnaeze therefore appealed to human rights communities, civil society in defense of human rights and government to weigh into the condition, stating further, my life is in danger and I need proper medical care.
Meanwhile, in a press release by the family of Anoliefo, signed by Mr. Tochukwu Anoliefo (elder brother of Mrs. Theresa Nnaeze) and obtained by obtained by Ndokwa Reporters, the family wants the whole world to know the diabolic and the injustice meted on their sister, he wondered why an acclaimed man of God should continue to parade evil against their own sister. In his words: “
The name of my our sister is Ndudi Theresa Anoliefo, who was living with me here in Lagos, when a young man name Mr. Chukwudi Victor Nnaeze, (then, not a pastor), now the the General Overseer of the Lord’s Solution Ministry situated at FESCTAC Town, Lagos. Initially, when he came to seek my sister’s hand in marriage, my family refused because we already knew of his bad reputation, since we all come and grew up in the same village, Umoju, Anambra state.
Unfortunately, my sister lost her senses and move away from home and went to live with Mr. Chukwudi since our family did not approve her marriage with the so call pastor. To our surprise, Chukwudi went to the village, had his way dubiously, and had the traditional marriage that was on 29th of October, 2011, with only my mother in attendance. Same manner played out at the wedding that was conducted at St. Theresa Army Catholic Church, Ojo Barrack, Lagos on 19th of May, 2012.
After the wedding, our sister began to live with his husband, and nobody from our family was allowed to visit her. Chukwudi insisted that until our sister give birth, that is when any of our family member can come, especially our mother. Mr. Anoliefo further said that their sister was beaten, psychologically drained, abandoned even when in the hospital, locked up in a room and left to bleed to death by his husband. “The unfortunate thing was, how my sister’s spouse dumped her with our mother in Asaba, and came back to Lagos to announce that he has divorced his wife. Now, our family is demanding a thorough investigation into how our sister got paralyzed, and we want his husband to come and explain his roles on my sister’s health. Equally, we are demanding for justice and want proper medical attention abroad for our sister. An attempt to reach the General Overseer, Pastor Chukwudi failed, as he warmed our correspondent never to call his line again. Even when a text was sent to him to respond on the said allegation, he did not reply, only for him to threaten in a recorded audio during their service on Sunday 4th, November 2018, saying, anybody that gave out his number to journalists will be made to pay severely for it.
