ABUJA/Nigeria: Senator Ned Nwoko has congratulated his wife, Regina Daniels-Nwoko, on her recognition as The Sun Newspaper’s Nollywood Personality of the Year.
Taking to his Instagram and X pages, the Delta North senator expressed profound joy over his wife’s latest achievement, describing the honour as a testament to her hard work, dedication, and impact in the Nigerian film industry.
“Congratulations to my dear wife, Regina Daniels, on being honoured as The Sun Newspaper’s Nollywood Personality of the Year! Your dedication, talent, and passion for the industry continue to set you apart. This recognition is a testament to your hard work and the impact you’ve made in Nollywood. I am incredibly proud of you and excited for all the greatness ahead. Keep soaring, my love! The sky is just the starting point,” Nwoko wrote.
Regina Daniels received the prestigious award on Saturday, March 1, 2025, during the 22nd edition of The Sun Awards at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. She was among 36 outstanding Nigerians honoured by The Sun Publishing Limited, publishers of The Sun Newspaper.
The event, co-chaired by the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Ojukwu, celebrated excellence across various sectors, with Regina Daniels standing out for her contributions to Nollywood as an actress and film producer.

Regina Daniels on Saturday, March 1, 2025, was among 36 outstanding Nigerians honoured by The Sun Publishing Limited, publishers of The Sun Newspaper.
The event, which was the 22nd edition of the coveted awards of the prestigious national media outfit, was held at the Expo Convention Centre, Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Adbullahi Ganduje, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Ojukwu co-chaired the delightful ceremony.
Taking to his Instagram and X pages, Regina Daniels’s husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, expressed profound joy over the landmark achievement of his wife.
Senator Nwoko congratulated her for standing out based on the “hard work and the impact”, she has made in Nollywood.
