ABUJA/Nigeria: As Nigeria marked its 65th Independence anniversary, the Senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ede Dafinone, has called on Nigerians to remain steadfast, resilient, and hopeful in the face of current economic and social challenges confronting the nation.
In a goodwill message to the people of Delta Central, the Niger Delta, and Nigerians at large, Dafinone congratulated the country on attaining 65 years of nationhood, describing the anniversary as both a moment of celebration and sober reflection on Nigeria’s journey.
He noted that while the country continues to grapple with the effects of economic reforms, inflation, and global uncertainties, Nigerians must not lose sight of the bigger picture of national growth and transformation.
“Change, especially meaningful change, often comes with sacrifices,” the senator stated, urging citizens not to be disheartened by temporary hardships.
Dafinone emphasized that Independence Day serves as an opportunity to rekindle hope and renew collective commitment to building a Nigeria anchored on resilience, justice, and shared prosperity.
Reaffirming his dedication to the people of Delta Central, he pledged to continue advocating for their interests in the Senate and ensuring that their voices are heard and respected at the national level.
“May this Independence Day renew in us a deeper love for our nation and a greater determination to see her succeed. God bless Delta Central, God bless Delta State, and God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” he added.
