ASABA/Nigeria: The achievements of the Senator representing Delta North at the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Barr. Peter Nwaoboshi, have been stressed and chronicled, even as he has been described as the distinguished Senator doggedly fulfilling his promises to the People of Delta North, his senatorial district of Delta State.
In a Media parley with selected Journalist on Monday, 11 December, 2017 in his Asaba office, Hon. Andie Onyemeziem, the Media Coordinator for Senator Nwaoboshi, said that his boss is a highly convivial personality, who has been grossly misunderstood by some people, noting that in the less than three years that he has been serving as the Senator representing the people of Delta North at the Senate, he has attracted unparalleled and uncommon infrastructural and human capital development that have positively impacted directly on the people of Anioma in particular and Delta State as a whole.
Hon. Onyemeziem, who is also a Legislative Assistant/Senatorial Coordinator to Senator Nwaoboshi, stressed that the Senator was able to record tremendous feats in respect to his representation at the Nigerian Senate, due mainly, to his convivial personality as well as the grace of God that is upon his life.
“Recall that the Most Distinguished Senator Nwaoboshi has been there for about two years now as a Senator from the opposition. It has not been easy to function from the opposition, but because of his doggedness, he has been able to position himself as one of the critical voices at the Senate,” Mr. Onyemezien said with emphasis.
“If you look critically at the few shakers and movers at the Senate, you will know that he is one of them and based on that, he was able to clinch the Chairman of Senate Committee on Niger Delta Affairs which included NNDC and the Presidential Amnesty Program of the Federal Government,” he stated.
The Soft Spoken and highly cerebral Media Aide further stressed that the Distinguished Senator has used his position effectively for Nigeria as a whole and the people of Niger Delta in particular, including Delta State where he has attracted laudable developmental projects for his Delta North Senatorial District.
“In his determination to improving the standard of living of his people, Senator Nwaoboshi has continued to prove his critics wrong through attracting a good number of massive projects as it have never been seen in the history of the Senatorial District.”
He further chronicled the achievements of the Senator since his assumption of office as the representative of the people of Delta North at the Nigerian Senate, and added that his accomplishments were verifiable and can be attested to by the well-meaning people of the District.
Hon. Onyemezie mentioned the massive repairs of the Ebu/Abuja Road as one of the major roads that the distinguished senator influenced his rehabilitation when he became the Senator representing the district.

—HOLDING OF A MAGA EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM THROUGH OBI FRANCIS NWAOBOSHI FOUNDATION, WHERE 9TRYCYCLES, 98 MOTORCYCLES, 98 SEWING MECHINES, 9 OIL MILLING MECHINES, 1000 BAGS OF RICE WERE DISTRIBUTED TO THE 9 LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREAS AND #25,000 TO TEN PERSONS IN EACH OF THE 98 WARDS WHICH AMOUNTED TO #25.5MILLION

On the allegations of non-performance being insinuated on senator Nwaoboshi by some of his constituents in the Senatorial District, in spite of his accomplishments as disclosed, Hon. Onyemezie attributed it to human nature and added that as a good leader, Senator Nwaoboshi has remained resolute and forceful even in the face of criticism, noting that a good leader does not run away from criticism, rather the leader uses it as a launch pad to higher levels of successes in life.
“It is very unfortunate that some of the criticisms are subjective, because looking at Senator Nwaoboshi background as an opposition member in the Senate, there is no how he would have been able to influence as much as these accomplishments to his senatorial district, if not for his nature as a highly focused and hospitable person and the grace of God upon his life.
“He is succeeding for one or two reasons, first is his determination to make a difference, two his ability to fuse himself into the main stream of the Politics of the National Assembly and of course we have had senators before him, but his activities are right now in the people’s court to judge,” he said and added that most people who criticizes him negatively misunderstood him for the fact that they have never come close to him.
“Senator Nwaoboshi is one of those highly placed persons that could come down to his locality anytime any day to dine and wine with his people; he is a grassroots person. People criticize him from afar without knowing him, in other wards he is indeed an enigma of a sort,” Onyemezie affirmed.
