In recognition of his five years meritous service to the company, SEPLAT petroleum development Company has presented the Sapele base manager, Mr Igelenye with an award of excellence.

The base manager while expressing gratitude over the award, also expressed readiness to do more, especially in partnering with the host Communities to foster their relationship. Adding that the Company has been able to transform Sapele within the five years, as a result of their activities.

Noting that “Over four billion naira, has been invested within the short while, through contracts award, healthcare and other social responsibilities. So it’s only a fool that will be antagonistic to system that is working.”

On where he sees the company in the next five years, the base manager, while addressing newsmen, also disclosed that the company was targeting producing nothing less than 200 bpd in the next five years, with their possession of more field and more assets.

“And our gas production should also increase to like 500,000 cubic feet per day. As we started with 17,000 bpd but today we are exiting between 75,000 and 80,000 barrels per day. So we have to double that if we continue in that calculation.”

Other awardees at the event were also congratulated by the manager, who advised them to be committed to the system that brings food to their table, and that team work should continue to play out, just as he disclosed that the Company has moved from ltd to Plc, hence their protection of shareholders interest.
