EMEVOR/Nigeria: Members of the Sheriffication Movement (TSM), the first political support group formed for Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, held a high-level strategy meeting on Sunday at the Emevor residence of the late Hon. Barr. Tim Kome Owhefere, where they reaffirmed their commitment to the governor’s MORE Agenda and declared their full support for his administration till 2031.

The meeting opened with a solemn one-minute silence in honour of Owhefere, described as a legislative titan and political mentor whose legacy continues to shape the Isoko political bloc.

Director-General of TSM and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media and Strategy, Comr. (Dr.) Palmer Ogheneyole Nathaniel, said the gathering was called to present Oborevwori’s two-year performance scorecard and realign the group’s political direction following recent developments in the state.

“Governor Oborevwori has given Delta purposeful, people-centered leadership without borrowing a dime. From the N78 billion Warri-Effurun flyover project to the dualization of roads and bridges, his imprint is visible across the state,” Dr. Palmer said.

He reeled out completed and ongoing projects, including the Ughelli-Asaba highway, Emevor-Orogun road, and over 1,500km of roads and nearly 1,000km of drainage infrastructure. In education, Palmer highlighted the establishment of a new College of Health Technology in Ovrode, expansion of the state university to Orerokpe, and the recruitment of over 3,000 teachers and lecturers.

Civil service reforms, improved staff welfare, security investments, and human capital development also formed part of the governor’s performance highlights. “We’ve seen over 250,000 Deltans empowered through initiatives like MORE Grant Scheme, D-CARES, and WESAP,” he added.

Palmer also praised the governor’s political courage in aligning with the ruling APC in April 2025, describing it as a strategic move to ensure Delta is connected to development at the center. “It’s not defection—it’s strategic cooperation for the progress of our state,” he stated.

In his tribute to the late Owhefere, Palmer pledged to continue using the late lawmaker’s residence for high-profile political engagements, saying, “He taught us that politics is about service and legacy.”

The meeting witnessed goodwill messages from party stalwarts, including Hon. Godiva Ugbo, who described Palmer as a “rare political force,” and Emevor Ward 7 APC Chairman, Hon. Karo Oghogho Phillip, who called him “a bridge-builder and loyal lieutenant of the Governor.”

In a symbolic climax, the Delta South Coordinator of TSM, Hon. Wesley Uwaboufu, moved a motion declaring “no vacancy in Osadebe House till 2031,” a declaration that was unanimously seconded by Hon. Chief Owopele Ebi, representing Delta Central.

The meeting drew over 200 attendees from across the state’s three senatorial districts, signaling renewed grassroots momentum behind Governor Oborevwori’s administration.
